STI REPAIR AT KEY ENERGY 2026 - PHOTOVOLTAIC INVERTER REPAIR AND CIRCULAR ECONOMY
STI Repair's first official participation in Italy's most important exhibition dedicated to renewable energy.
STI REPAIR A KEY ENERGY 2026
Key Energy 2026 was more than just a trade show for STI Repair. It was our first official participation as a company specializing in the repair and remanufacturing of photovoltaic inverters, and from the very first moment we sensed enthusiasm, curiosity, and great interest in the topic of business continuity of photovoltaic systems.
Key Energy has now become the reference point in Italy for the renewable energy sector, and participating meant getting to the heart of the technical debate on the future of energy--photovoltaics, storage, inverters, digitization and the circular economy.
For STI Repair, it was a confirmation: the topic of life-extension of photovoltaic inverters is more relevant today than ever before.
2010 TO 2026:
TWO MOMENTS OF THE SAME VISION
My last participation in an exhibition was in 2010 at Solar Expo Verona, when I presented a very special project: an in-house designed biaxial photovoltaic tracker, unique in the world because it was based on PLC technology with an astronomical algorithm.
After 16 years I am returning to the fair with a new challenge.
Today our focus is no longer the tracker, but something even more strategic: the business continuity of photovoltaic inverters and the circular economy applied to energy systems.
MEET CUSTOMERS:
THE GREATEST VALUE OF A TRADE SHOW
Key Energy 2026 was especially an opportunity to meet with many of our customers, technical partners, and operators in the PV industry.
We discussed:
- Repair and remanufacture of multi-brand photovoltaic inverters
- Plant life-extension strategies
- Management of technological obsolescence
- New requirements related to BESS and storage systems.
It was an important moment of technical but also human discussion. Because behind every photovoltaic inverter is an investment that must be protected over time.
INVERTER REPAIR AND COLLABORATION
WITH MANUFACTURERS
During Key Energy 2026, we also brought some really failed inverters to the exhibition to show concretely what it means to do service in the photovoltaic world.
The industry is entering a new phase: more and more plants are 10-15 years old, and advanced maintenance and remanufacturing of inverters are becoming a central issue in protecting the value of plants.
During the fair, I also had the pleasure of recounting this vision in aninterview with Solare B2B, one of Italy's leading energy media.
In the video we discuss:
- Circular economy in photovoltaics
- Continuity of operation of inverters
- Role of independent repair centers
- Evolution of the energy market
THE FUTURE:
ENERGY CONTINUITY
Key Energy 2026 confirmed something very simple for us: the future of energy is not only about production, but also about the ability to keep plants efficient over time.
STI Repair will continue to work in this direction, developing increasingly advanced skills in the repair and remanufacturing of photovoltaic inverters.
Because every inverter that comes back on means:
- Less electronic waste
- More plant efficiency
- Increased investment protection
